Lighthouse Online Content Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all social start-ups, content creation services, and SEO services provided by Lighthouse Online Content to the Client.

1. Acceptance

It is not required of any client of Lighthouse Online Content to have signed an acceptance of these terms and conditions for them to apply. If a Client accepts a quote supplied by Lighthouse Online Content then the Client will be considered to have accepted these terms and conditions in full. Therefore, please ensure you read these terms and conditions carefully.

2. Fees
Charges for agreed services to be provided by Lighthouse Online Content are defined in the initial quote provided to the Client via email correspondence or by hand. Such quotes are valid for a period of 14 days before expiring. Lighthouse Online Content reserves the right to alter or to decline to provide a quote after the expiration date or if the service specification has changed.

Payment for services is due by credit/debit card, bank transfer, or any other agreed financial agreement. Bank and payment details for Lighthouse Online Content will be made available on each invoice.

3. Client Sign-Off
Lighthouse Online Content will provide the client with a sign-off copy of the services provided so that Client is provided with the opportunity to review the content before it is published and completed. Any alterations will be made at this time before final action is taken. 

4. Client Contact and Content Sharing
The Client must agree a primary person of contact that will oversee the progression of each service. The contact may be required to share text, images, website content, and any other relevant materials to Lighthouse Online Content to help with the
relevant project and service specification.

5. Payment

Invoices will be provided by Lighthouse Online Content upon completion (and successful sign-off) of each desired service. Invoices are normally sent via email; however if applicable a hard-copy can be sent to the Client if requested. Invoices must be paid in full within 14 working days, failure to do so will result in service charge of £20 per month.

6. Additional Expenses

The Client agrees to reimburse Lighthouse Online Content for any additional expenses required to complete the task. Examples are Plug-Ins, Stock Photography, etc.

7. Termination
Termination of services must be provided by the Client in both a written and oral manner. A termination of service will be effective on receipt of such a notice. Please note, the Client will be invoiced for work completed to the date of the notice being received.

8. Indemnity

All Lighthouse Online Content services may be used for lawful purposes only. As a Client, you agree to indemnify and hold Lighthouse Online Content harmless from any claims resulting from your use of our services that damages you or any other party.

9. Copyright

The Client retains the copyright to data, files, and logos provided by themselves to Lighthouse Online Content, and grants Lighthouse Online Content the rights to publish and utilise said materials. The Client must obtain permission and the rights to use any data, logos, or imagery that are copyrighted by a third party. The Client is then responsible for providing Lighthouse Online Content with permission for use of the same data. Lighthouse Online Content will be held harmless from any claims resulting from the inability to obtain correct copyrighting permissions.

10. Media and File Formatting

Unless requested otherwise, creative content and images will be provided to the Client via USB or via email. All media will be provided in a high-quality format, either as a .jpeg, .png, or .gif formatted file. The use of scheduling software and note-sharing programmes may be used to help share large amounts of data.

11. Access Requirements

If a Start-Up Service, Social MOT, or other CMS task is required, Lighthouse Online Content must be granted temporary access to accounts to carry out the desired services. The Client may ask for new log-in details to be created, these will need to be provided to Lighthouse Online Content so that we can help complete services and provide technical support where and when needed.

12. Post-Placement Alterations

Lighthouse Online Content is not able to accept responsibility for any alterations to content caused by a third party once uploaded. Examples of such alterations included, but are not limited to, modifications, deletions, and additions.

13. Domain Registration

Lighthouse Online Content may purchase domain names upon the request of a Client. Initial payment and set-up of the domain(s) is the responsibility of Lighthouse Online Content. Renewals and the up-keep of the domain, after successful registration is then the responsibility of the Client. The relevant account information will be transferred to the Client 1 month after registration. The Client should then keep a record of the due dates to ensure renewal payments are not missed.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement of Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English Law.

15. Liability

Lighthouse Online Content hereby excludes itself and its employees from all and any liability from:

- Loss or damage caused by any inaccuracy

- Loss or damage caused by omission

- Loss or damage caused by delay or error, whether the result of negligence or other cause
- Loss of damage to clients' artwork/photos, supplied for social media. Immaterial whether the loss or damage results from negligence or otherwise.


The entire liability of Lighthouse Online Content to the Client in respect of any claim whatsoever or breach of this Agreement, whether or not arising out of negligence, shall be limited to the charges paid for the Services under this Agreement in respect of which the breach has arisen.

16. Severability

In the event any one or more of the provisions of this Agreement shall be held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall be unimpaired and the Agreement shall not be void for this reason alone. Such invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision shall be replace by a mutually acceptable, valid, legal, and enforceable provision, which comes closest to the intention of the parties underlying the invalid. We can at any point decide to cancel services and hosting.
